Come along and learn how to craft stories that will capture and hold the attention of a young audience and why writing for younger readers is critically important. In this highly practical, hands-on workshop, writer Julia Green will speak about writing for a younger audience, getting your work published, and how to master your craft.
Participants should bring their own writing materials (paper is preferred, but laptops are okay, too) and prepare to discuss everything from character development to setting in a session suitable for writers at all stages of their career.
Julia Green is an author of over twenty novels and stories for children and young adults. She has worked as a publicity assistant for a publisher, a library assistant, an English teacher, and is currently Emeritus Professor of Writing for Young People at Bath Spa University.
