A new Programme Director and a new name heralds a new chapter for Dublin Writers Festival.
Now called International Literature Festival Dublin, running from 16-24 May 2015. The Festival will continue to champion Dublin's position as a UNESCO World City of Literature, celebrating the local alongside the global and the power of words to change the world.
"I am thrilled to be appointed as Programme Director for International Literature Festival Dublin,” said Martin Colthorpe. “I’m looking forward to building on its already high reputation for quality literary events and to creating partnerships to attract new audiences and diversify the programme. I love making cultural festivals and am excited at the prospect of working with the people of Dublin to bring an international programme of events to this great city."
Each year International Literature Festival Dublin assembles some of the finest writers in the world, a tantalizing mix of new faces and household names both home grown and International, in unique, inspiring encounters. Celebrating ideas, reading and writing for all ages the festival transforms Dublin into a international literary hub in the month of May for spoken and written word.
