The Stinging Fly has been championing new writing since the publication of its first issue in March 1998. It too is celebrating this year; and is marking its two decades of publishing the best Irish and international writing with the appointment of a new editor, award-winning writer Sally Rooney.

It publishes two issues a year with a focus on promoting new writers and showcasing short stories alongside a mix of poetry, essays and author interviews.
