Sights and smells, sounds and sensations – the world is full of weird, wild, and wonderful things for us to process…and we all do it a little differently!
Sights and smells, sounds and sensations – the world is full of weird, wild, and wonderful things for us to process…and we all do it a little differently!
Part of the joy of being a human is discovering our surroundings. You might like to feel the grass between your toes, sing along with the birds…you might even like to stick out your tongue and taste the wind. There’s no right or wrong way to experience your environment!
Come along and meet Fiona Carswell and join in this interactive storytelling session featuring her debut picture book The Boy Who Loves to Lick the Wind. Inspired by her own experience of parenting a neurodiverse child, this book will encourage young readers to embrace their uniqueness and celebrate the many ways we can experience life.
Fiona Carswell is a publicist by day. In her spare time, Fiona writes occasionally for the Scottish press – mainly the Scotsman – and enjoys flying the flag for Autism Awareness Week each year.
