The Dublin Literary Award and ILFD, two of Ireland’s most acclaimed celebrations of the written word, partner to announce the winner of this year’s €100,000 prize.
The world’s most valuable annual prize for a single work of fiction, the Dublin Literary Award is open to all novelists writing in, or translated into, English. Unique in its nomination process, titles are nominated each year by public libraries in major cities across the world, making it a true reader’s accolade.
The 2023 Award winner will be chosen from a diverse and dynamic international shortlist which includes four novels in translation. This year, the 28th winner of the Dublin Literary Award will be announced by its Patron, Lord Mayor Caroline Conroy.
Many of the nominated novels for the 2023 Dublin Literary Award are available for readers to borrow from public libraries or on digital loan from BorrowBox. Both the prize and ILFD are sponsored solely by Dublin City Council.
Presented in partnership with the Dublin Literary Award, a Dublin City Council initiative.
