The Glór Sessions is Dublin's only weekly music and poetry event. Normally held in the basement of The International Bar in Wicklow Street, it is staging a special showcase for the Dublin Writers Festival. Hosted by Stephen James Smith, it offers an energetic night of openness and sharing, a good mix of experience and inexperience, where the supportive atmosphere and no nonsense policy gives performers a safe platform from which to shine. The Glór Sessions has featured on RTÉ's Radio 1 Arts Show Arena and in The Irish Times' Cultural Review 2009.
