This year, for the first time, Dublin Writers Festival is reaching beyond the city centre to bring the best Irish writers to local communities around Dublin. Chaired by Dermot Bolger, this inaugural event assembles an unprecedented line-up of writing talent in the shape of three Booker Prize-winning novelists. John Banville (The Sea), Anne Enright (The Gathering) and Roddy Doyle (Paddy Clarke Ha Ha Ha) have never appeared onstage before, but tonight they assemble at the Axis Centre in Ballymun for what promises to be a lively and enthralling evening of readings and conversation.
