Poetry, Coleridge famously wrote, is the art of putting “the best words in the best order”, but anyone who has tried to write poetry knows that it’s not as simple as that sounds. In this one-off workshop, presented in association with Poetry Ireland, Philip Schultz, Pulitzer-Prize-winning poet and founder/director of the Writers’ Studio in New York, will put aspiring poets through their paces, exploring some of the key techniques poets use to make their work leap off the page.
