Join us for an exceptional evening with two poets expanding the range and invention of contemporary poetry.
Vahni Capildeo comes to Dublin to read from her new collection Skin Can Hold, a book about art and performance, ranging across forms, from soliloquy to prose, and displaying the wit and imagination which won her the Forward Prize for Poetry in 2016.
Ailbhe Darcy’s collection Insistence ranges from intimate poems about motherhood to longer sequences engaged with the big geopolitical questions of our time. It was described by David Wheatley as ‘boldly overhauling the received categories of the Irish poem with cunning and humour’.
