Writers and performers from across the Irish arts are calling round for a little onstage sesh. The gathering will discuss the tradition of the party piece – each artist will deliver their own! – and collectively examine the changing ways in which we entertain ourselves – at home and in public, alone and together. Everyone’s invited to this rollicking, performative house party from arts annual Holy Show.
Calling to the gaff are writer and actor Michael Harding, musician and novelist Declan O’Rourke, funnyman and folklord Hugh Cooney with more still to come.
Michael Harding was born and raised in Cavan. Having worked as a teacher and as a prison social worker, he returned to Maynooth as a seminarian and was ordained in 1980. He left the priesthood in 1985. A poet, novelist, actor, and columnist, he lives in Leitrim with his family.
