The incomparable poet, novelist, editor and filmmaker Michael Ondaatje joins ILFDublin for a truly special Off The Page event. He has described writing a novel as ‘a huge landscape you have to depict and cover and cross,’ and poetry as like ‘whispering to somebody… about a small aspect of something’.
His books include The English Patient, which won the Man Booker prize and was adapted into an Oscar-winning movie. Newly-published Warlight is a vivid, thrilling story of violence and love, intrigue and desire, set in London in 1945. Don’t miss your chance to hear this wonderful writer open up about his work.
The event with be chaired by novelist and former Irish Laureate for fiction, Anne Enright.
