Faber Social Faber Socials, a groundbreaking mix of book launch, nightclub and gig, have become a fixture on the UK literary scene since their launch a few years ago. Now, for the first time, Faber brings the social to Ireland to celebrate the launch of a brand new anthology of Irish short stories. Edited by Kevin Barry, Town and Country mixes work by established names with up-and-coming writers, all committed to taking the Irish short story in fresh new directions. Join us in the Clarence Suite this evening for a lively mix of music and readings featuring Barry himself. Contributors Patrick McCabe, Paul Murray, Nuala Ní Chonchúir, Eimear Ryan and Michael Harding plus musical storyteller and street performer Little John Nee, while Dorian Lynskey, author of 33 Revolutions Per Minute, spins the decks. N.B. Due to popularity this event is now taking place in the Banquet Hall at Smock Alley Theatre and is no longer taking place in the Clarence Hotel.
