**Please note the venue for this event has changed. The event will now take place at Smock Alley Theatre.**
With Norway as our focus country this year, we’re delighted to welcome Erling Kagge, the Norwegian explorer who was the first in history to reach the three poles: North, South and the summit of Everest.
Not only an explorer, he is also an avid art collector, entrepreneur, publisher and author of seven books. Kagge’s debut Silence was published in 37 languages. His new book One Step at a Time is a breathtakingly beautiful, and quietly life-changing celebration of walking. From those perilous first steps to great expeditions, from walking to work to walking to the North Pole, Erling Kagge explains that he who walks lives longer - and better.
The event will be chaired by writer and documentary-maker, Manchan Magan.
‘As an explorer Erling Kagge is world class; as a writer he is equally gifted.’ Sir Ranulph Fiennes
