Two of Ireland’s most acclaimed celebrations of the written word have launched an exciting new partnership. From 2020 on, the recipient of the International Dublin Literary Award will be announced during ILFDublin. The International Dublin Literary Award, now in its twenty-fifth year, is the world's most valuable annual prize for a single work of fiction published in English, with the winner receiving €100,000. It is open to novels written in any language and by authors of any nationality, provided the book has been published in English or English translation. Uniquely, books are nominated by libraries in major cities throughout the world. It is sponsored solely by Dublin City Council, as is ILFDublin.
Before you join us for the award announcement at 11am coming to you from the Guinness Storehouse, Thursday 22nd October, check out International Dublin Literary Award Shortlist 2020, a new podcast series in which hosts Caelainn Hogan and Jessica Traynor interview the shortlisted writers.
