“I tell kids darkness can be beaten.” Dave Rudden
Your class is sure to love celebrating all things monstrous with author Dave Rudden and his new horror novel Conn of the Dead. This event is all about encouraging creativity and empowering kids to tell their own stories.
An award-winning author, performer and time-displaced Viking, Dave Rudden will show pupils how to craft their very own collection of catastrophic creatures, from inspiration to characterisation to bringing it to life on the page with stomach-turning descriptions. Conn of the Dead is his love letter to Goosebumps, Spooksville and all the other series he reckons he probably should not have been reading unsupervised at the age of eight!
Dave Rudden’s Knights of the Borrowed Dark Trilogy has won multiple awards. He also writes for the Dr Who Universe, teaches creative writing at UCD, is the current DCU’s Artist in Residence and visits as many schools and libraries as he can to inspire the next generation of Ireland’s writers.
