Book-loving broadcaster Rick O’Shea will reveal the winners of this year’s KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Awards in an in-person and live broadcast ceremony as part of ILFD.

The KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Awards are the most prestigious awards for children’s books in Ireland with multiple categories championing Irish writing and illustration for children and young people.

This year’s shortlist spans a range of reading ages and each title will compete for the coveted KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Book of the Year, as well as five other awards celebrating fiction, illustration, and the Junior Juries Award which is decided by young readers in schools across the country. A total prize fund of €16,000 will be awarded to this year’s winners!

The KPMG Children’s Books Ireland Awards are supported by the Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland National Lottery Funding.
