“When I die, Dublin will be written in my heart” James Joyce

Put on your walking shoes for this fascinating 90-minute tour of some of the places and spaces that inspired James Joyce’s writings and affected his personal life.

A love poem to Dublin, Ulysses is the story of one day in the city; the 16th of June in 1904. This date is now commemorated annually as Bloomsday. From Merrion Square to Grafton Street (and all points in between!), this tour takes in locations immortalised in Joyce’s world-celebrated Ulysses, as well as places that influenced him and his family, such as the spot where he met Nora Barnacle, who became his wife and muse.
