On five days during the Festival, an actor will read from a guest author’s book. If you like what you hear, you can pick up a copy at Dubray, the onsite bookshop. All featured authors are speaking at ILFD, please check the programme for details of individual events. Founded in 1986, the Gaiety School of Acting has trained many of Ireland’s most prominent actors of stage and screen, including Colin Farrell, Deirdre O’Kane, Charlie Murphy, Stuart Townsend, Dawn Bradfield and Mark O’Halloran.
Friday 16: live reading from Love in Exile by Shon Faye.
Wednesday 21: live reading from The Book of Records by Madelein Thien.
Thursday 22: live reading from The City Changes Its Face by Eimear McBride.
Friday 23: live reading from the winning title of the Dublin Literary Award 2025.
