On five days during the Festival, an actor will read from a guest author’s book. If you like what you hear, you can pick up a copy at Dubray, the onsite bookshop. All featured authors are speaking at ILFD, please check the programme for details of individual events. Founded in 1986, the Gaiety School of Acting has trained many of Ireland’s most prominent actors of stage and screen, including Colin Farrell, Deirdre O’Kane, Charlie Murphy, Stuart Townsend, Dawn Bradfield and Mark O’Halloran.

Ines Von Scotti
Ines von Scotti is currently a first-year student in the Full-Time Professional Acting Course at The Gaiety School of Acting. Originally from the UK, she moved to Germany at the age of nine, where she discovered her passion for acting through amateur theatre, both there and in Luxembourg. Her past roles include Orlando in Orlando, Cecily Cardew in The Importance of Being Earnest, and Hamlet in her secondary school’s production of Hamlet. Ines believes that a love for theatre and literature go hand-in-hand—she has been a bookworm for as long as she can remember. She is extremely excited to attend this event and to deepen her understanding of Ireland’s literary landscape.
