On five days during the Festival, an actor will read from a guest author’s book. If you like what you hear, you can pick up a copy at Dubray, the onsite bookshop. All featured authors are speaking at ILFD, please check the programme for details of individual events. Founded in 1986, the Gaiety School of Acting has trained many of Ireland’s most prominent actors of stage and screen, including Colin Farrell, Deirdre O’Kane, Charlie Murphy, Stuart Townsend, Dawn Bradfield and Mark O’Halloran.

Friday 23: live reading by Molly Fahy from the winning title of the Dublin Literary Award 2025.
Molly Fahy is a first-year student at the Gaiety School of Acting in the two-year Professional Acting Course and a first-class honours graduate in Drama, Theatre and Performance, and English Studies from the University of Galway. She has a deep appreciation for storytelling across both stage and page. With a strong interest in acting, writing, and producing, she is particularly drawn to work that bridges literature and performance, exploring how words come to life in theatrical spaces.
