Sat 21 & Sun 22 2022
Focusing on the concept of the embodied voice and on the benefits of creative writing for holistic health and well-being, this two-hour session will facilitate an embodied, sensual, and meditative approach to voice and writing, supporting individuals and aspiring writers to break through habitual ways of writing and being, exploring and discovering while also nurturing a sense of safety, physical support, flow and ease.
Led by artist and facilitator Lani, you will draw on present and past experiences, memories and imagination, moment to moment, without expectation, and also on the work and writings of those who inspire us.
Attendees are invited to bring along a yoga mat to the event.
Lani O’Hanlon is a writer, dance artist, and somatic movement therapist. She has an MA in Creative Writing from Lancaster University and has been published in numerous leading anthologies and journals. She is a frequent contributor to RTÉ’s Sunday Miscellany.
‘Her work is both a cure for what ails us and a cure for language itself: like the best and the rarest of writers, she restores words to their full potency and power’ – Grace Wells
