International Literature Festival Dublin is delighted to collaborate with District Magazine on a one-of-a-kind event in Dublin’s most famous historical building.
As part of the GPO’s 200th anniversary celebrations, we’re inviting an array of the brightest talents from the Irish hip hop and spoken word scene to perform in the Main Postal Hall, raising the curtain on the 2018 International Literature Festival Dublin.
Perfomers on the night include Emmet Kirwan, Mango Dassler, Clara Rose Thornton, lullahush, Natalya O'Flaherty, FYNCH, while Dublin producer Tommy Holohan will provide an original score to complement the poetry.
Guests can enjoy a complimentary Hennessy & Ginger cocktail on the night, created by expert mixologists. Hennessy was the first spirit to identify ginger as the perfect accompaniment, with the spice of ginger ale bringing out the natural spice of the world’s finest cognac.
District Magazine’s first and constant music love is hip hop. With spoken words events, they seek to blend the worlds of traditional, Irish storytelling with rap and everything that comes with the culture.
This event offers a unique chance to celebrate our city’s rich literary history, while looking firmly to the future.
