Adrian Crowley was once described by Ryan Adams as his favourite ‘unknown’ songwriter, but in recent years Crowley has finally been getting the recognition he deserves. His fifth album, Season of the Sparks, won the Choice Music Prize and his songs regularly invoke comparisons with Leonard Cohen and Nick Drake. For this final club night event Crowley brings his exquisite melodies and lyrical maturity to the Liquor Rooms in the company of The Pigeons, an innovative group, led by singer and cellist Mary Barnecutt, that blends poetry with folk and classical influences. Followed by a dj set. Doors at 9.15, event starts at 9.30pm. Please arrive early to avoid dissapointment as limited places are available.
