Rachel Cusk’s trilogy Outline (2014), Transit (2016) and Kudos (2018) has been hailed as a reinvention of the novel. Cusk’s 1993 debut Saving Agnes, a down-from-Oxford bildungsroman about a young woman finding her way in London, won the Whitbread First Novel Award.
Now the author of nine novels and three works of non- fiction, she continues to garner awards and acclaim. In electrifying prose, Kudos asks: how might we reconstitute a person? What are our responsibilities to ourselves and others? And do we get kudos for having suffered? Rachel Cusk will discuss her work and take questions from the audience.
