The Man Booker prize winning author of The God of Small Things is back! Arundhati Roy’s second novel, The Ministry of Utmost Happiness is a sweeping, all-encompassing tale of outcasts and misfits, suffering and the joys of the human heart.
Also renowned for her non-fiction writing, she has covered topics from the US invasions of Iraq and Afghanistan to the rise of Hindu nationalism. She has been jailed for her views and even now awaits trial for criminal contempt of court for her writing. We’re delighted to welcome Arundhati Roy to ILFDublin.
The event is chaired by writer and lecturer Selina Guinness.
