Warsaw prosecutor Teodor Szacki, ‘had thrown the life he had spent years building down the toilet in exchange for a sodding pipe dream, and now he was left with nothing…’ Zygmunt Miloszewski is renowned in Poland for his engaging, suspenseful crime novels. But how does a crime writer bring their character to life on the screen as well as the page, and why did he find working with director Borys Lankosz on the screenplay, ‘tough for me as an author’? Join us for this special screening of A Grain Of Truth, starring Polish Academy Award winner Robert Wieckiewicz as Szacki, followed by a talk with Miloszewski about adapting crime for the screen.
