Tales from the Shadows - Dublin Tales

Saturday, 26 May
The Complex

Join us for this special event combining the oral tradition of storytelling with the visuals of shadow puppetry in an anthology style production based on folklore and urban legends originating in Dublin.  Tales to look forward to include: ‘The Pig Faced Lady of Steeven’s Hospital’, ‘The Ghost of Marsh’s Library’ and many more. The show will appeal to “mature children and childish adults” alike, as well as those with a taste for gothic stories.

Tales from the Shadows are a Dublin based theatre group whose short pieces often focus on the macabre. Past performances include Bram Stoker Festival, the Galway Fringe, the National Gallery of Ireland. Though often placed in the category of ‘children’s theatre’, their shows are suitable for all ages and anyone who will let them work the magic of storytelling on them.
