With a career spanning four decades and ten albums, Kate Bush is loved as much for her evocative lyrics and beautifully crafted songs as her powerful performances. In celebration of her recent lyrics collection How To Be Invisible, we’re presenting a special celebration of Kate Bush as songwriter and storyteller. Academic, writer and broadcaster, Siobhán Kane is joined by Kate's close collaborators Del Palmer and Dónal Lunny, musicians David Kitt and Aoife Nessa Frances and more to be announced for an evening of readings, song and discussion.

We are delighted to welcome singer, songwriter, bass guitarist and sound engineer Del Palmer to Dublin for this special event. An original member of the KT Bush Band, he is credited as an engineer on Hounds of Love, The Sensual World, The Red Shoes and Aerial. He also toured with Kate in 1979.

Performing on the night will be the wonderful David Kitt, an Irish musician/producer that crosses multiple genres, whose sixth studio album, Yous, was released in 2018.

Also on the line-up is Aoife Nessa Frances, a Dublin-born musician and singer-song writer. She is inspired by the poetic styles of folk music and psychedelic rock.

Another performer on the night will be Irish singer-songwriter and composer Katie Kim, whose most recent album 'Salt', was shortlisted for the Choice Music Prize.

And of course the brilliant Dónal Lunny, a frequent collaborator of Kate's. Lunny played bouzouki on Kate's songs Night Of The Swallow, And Dream Of Sheep, Jig Of Life, Hello Earth, and The Sensual World, as well as bodhrán on Jig Of Life. Kate contributed the track Mná Na hÉireann to Common Ground: Voices Of Modern Irish Music, a project produced by Lunny in 1996.
