Elizabeth Gilbert: Off The Page

Tuesday, 25 Jun
O’Reilly Theatre - Belvedere College
€12 / €10

We are so pleased to welcome the New York Times bestselling author Elizabeth Gilbert to Dublin for what is sure to be a very special Off the Page event!

Her 2006 memoir Eat Pray Love, a chronicle of her journey alone around the world looking for solace after a difficult divorce, became a multi-million international bestseller and was made into a film starring Julia Roberts.

City of Girls, Elizabeth Gilbert’s new novel, is a glittering coming-of-age epic, stitched across the fabric of 1940s New York. It’s a delicious story of glamour, sex and self-discovery, in which a young woman learns that you don’t have to be a good girl to be a good person.

The event will be chaired by writer and critic Anna Carey.

“Life is both fleeting and dangerous, and there is no point in denying yourself pleasure, or being anything other than what you are.” Elizabeth Gilbert, City of Girls
