Join Dr Catríona Clutterbuck as she explores ‘Cross-Hatched’ connectivity in Seamus Heaney’s last full collection of poetry, Human Chain (2010). This lecture will look at the poet’s heightened consciousness of the many intersecting strands of his own life journey and of the chains of human relationships across generations, races, and political barriers that continue to shape him.
