Laurie Penny says she ‘makes words for money, trouble and social change’. An award-winning journalist, essayist, public speaker, writer and activist, her books include Unspeakable Things and Bitch Doctrine.
Currently Contributing Editor at the New Statesman, she writes about politics, social justice, pop culture, feminism, technology and mental health. She has reported on radical politics, protest, digital culture and feminism from around the world, working with activists from the Occupy movement and the European youth uprisings.
She joins ILFDublin to talk about agency, consent and the backdrop of #metoo.
